hey, i’m mae

personal trainer & pilates instructor, lover of movement

I believe movement can benefit everyone; my mission as a personal trainer is to uncomplicate fitness and motivate people to find joy in movement + feel stronger in everyday life.

I began resistance training over 11 years ago and LOVE to try new things that challenge me. it’s important to me to find the fun in everyday life and want the same for my clients. in my own strength training I schedule a ‘fun day’. this allows me to move in the way that my body wants on the day, whether that be twirling round a bar or kicking up into a handstand.

my mission

in a world that has over complicated fitness, I provide clients with a straightforward approach to fitness helping them build new and lasting healthy routines.

…and, of course smash their fitness goals in the process whether that be holding your first handstand–helping you regain joint mobility, strength and muscle building or injury rehabilitation.

a lil more about me…

although movement has always been a big part of my life from my early dancing days. my real passion to help people started after being in a skiing accident. I deep dove into human movement and how to rehabilitate myself. this journey made me realise how much I wanted to be able to help others too.

with my extensive knowledge and experience I am able to fuse a wide variety of disciplines and modalities including resistance training, calisthenics, pilates, mobility and human biomechanics; adapting to the specific needs of the individual. working with me there will be focus on regaining mobility of joints and developing muscle and strength through resistance training

I have a fascination for human movement and always strive to learn more. I completed my human biomechanics training. this allows me to work with a wide range of clients and their needs; to address their imbalances, recurring pain and injuries.

don't just take my word for it though...

  • Working with Mae has changed my perspective of exercise and empowered me inside and outside the gym. Mae built a program suited to me and the goals I wanted to achieve and encouraged me consistantly. In the gym, she always brings a laugh as well as a fountain of knowledge. At home, she always offers virtual support to any doubts or queries. She has always gone out of her way to make things work for me, even accomodating for my childcare needs and finding a space that supported that! More importantly than my push up personal bests, Mae has helped me learn how to show up for myself, be gentle with myself and hold myself accountable. I feel more educated around the exercise I need and the benefit of it, and more inspired to do it! Thank you Mae for such a warm, individual approach to personal training. Work with mae!!!! You wont regret it!!!!!

  • Mae is an incredible trainer who helped me build my strength and confidence in the gym. I now feel so much fitter, and more importantly I enjoy the gym more than ever! You'll have fun training whilst also becoming stronger - what's not to love!?

  • Mae is an absolute game-changer of a PT! I’ve struggled with hypermobility for so long and couldn’t find anyone who could help—until Mae came along and truly saved the day. The changes in my body have been incredible; I feel stronger and more confident in what I can do. On top of that, Mae is a wonderful person—kind, patient, and we always have a laugh! I highly recommend her to everyone!

  • My aches and pains stopped within a week! I think people (Physios especially, who take things - rightly - very gradually) underestimate women's strength! I was strong, I just wasn't using my strength. It needed activating and Mae helped me to do that.… I would absolutely recommend Mae! She is wonderfully encouraging and positive. She keeps targets realistic so that you improve slowly without even realising it. I had felt as though I couldn't exercise any more, but Mae changed quickly and with seemingly minimal effort from me! ~ Rachel

  • I always look forward to my weekly sessions with Mae! Her expertise as a PT, especially in working with hypermobility, has been invaluable. Mae's deep understanding of how to strengthen and mobilize the body while addressing hypermobility has completely transformed how I approach my own body—teaching me to work with it rather than against it. Her passion and knowledge shine through in every session. Mae has an incredible ability to push me just the right amount when she knows I can go further, while also offering comfort and reassurance when I need it. She explains what’s happening in my body so clearly that even challenging exercises feel manageable and safe. These sessions have been paramount. They’ve not only become essential to my daily routine but have also left me feeling more embodied and empowered!

  • I initially thought I'd trial seeing my first ever PT for 6 weeks, but here I am one year on and still going once a week. Mae has been terrific. She prepared a programme to cater exactly to my needs - to strengthen my back and increase my flexibility, but modifies this to ensure my safety and well being at all times. Mae has a great personality, sense of humour, and smile, and this means going to the gym is always a pleasure (even when it hurts!).
